As always Glasgow is the place to be this summer with the Glasgow Mod Weekender and Barraloadasoul 2017. Barraloadasoul will be enjoying its 4th year as Scotland’s biggest Northern Soul all dayer.
Located at Glasgow’s most famous venue, the Barrowland Ballroom, the event welcomes some of the UK’s best Northern Soul DJ’s and the sprung dance floor sees thousands of feet dance the night away.
Running from 2 in the afternoon until midnight the event has grown in popularity and will this year welcome a number of vendors from Kenichi Images Photography to Dead End St subculture clothing.
The event is easily accessible as it is a mere 10-15 minute from both Glasgow Central Station and Queen Street Station. There are also a number of great hotels withing walking distance and Glasgow’s beautiful Merchant City is a stones throw away from the venue.
Travelers to Glasgow will be able to enjoy one of Europe’s top shopping destinations with Fred Perry and Pretty Green stores proving to be particularly popular.
Glasgow is also home to one of the countries top tattoo studios in Tribe Tattoo, which can be found on Bank Street. Barraloadaoul is on Saturday June 3rd and though the football season will be finished, Glasgow still has barrel loads of character from the Barras Market to its museums and art galleries.
Glasgow is a city for everyone and with Edinburgh an hour train ride away you can make the most of Scotland’s two biggest cities on any trip north.
