British Subcultures Playlist 3

British Subcultures Playlist 3

It’s been a wee while since I’ve sat down and added a new playlist to the British Subcultures YouTube Channel and since the weather has been pretty good I’ve been in amongst it on Spotify and thought I’d share some of my sunny day music on here.

Just as the weather started getting nicer I went through to Edinburgh to see The Skints (also found a great wee record shop @vinylnet on twitter). I saw them a year or two ago at King Tut’s in Glasgow and was totally blown away, without a doubt one of the best live bands I have seen.

On this tour they were joined by Tippa Irie, Horseman and Rival with support from Hollie Cook and General Roots and every one of them was incredible. If you get the opportunity to catch any of the live do it, and check out the new Skints album FM, great record and will be getting spun all summer long in my house.

The playlist is a direct influence of a bit of sunshine and a great night but is just a couple of the songs I’ve been playing this week so I hope you take the time to give it a listen, subscribe to the British Subcultures YouTube Channel and most of all, enjoy it.
