For some time now people have been waiting for the Elaine Constantine film, Northern Soul. Videos and teasers for the film have been about from as early as 2011 but it looks like the long wait is coming to an end with the preview screening being held in Manchester’s Cornerhouse Cinema on February 28th.
With the release of a great book featuring exclusive photography from filming as well as photos from the original era we got a taster of what was to come. The recent Record Store Day saw the limited release of James Fountain’s ‘Seven Day Lover’ and The Montclairs ‘Hung up on Your Love’ from the films soundtrack. The 7” release only saw 1000 copies on sale so if you would have been lucky to get your hands on a copy.
